Dental fees and payment plans in Crewe
What you pay depends on whether your care is provided under the NHS or privately, and on the treatment you need. We will explain which applies and the expected charge before treatment begins.

NHS dental charges
NHS dental charges in England are set nationally. From 1 April 2026, charges range from £27.90 for Band 1 to £332.10 for Band 3. NHS appointments at Allen House Dental are subject to eligibility and current availability.

Dental membership plan
Two monthly plans, £21.99 or £33.30, covering your routine private appointments through a Direct Debit. An administration fee of £9.50 is collected with the first payment only.

Finance options
Eligible patients may be able to spread treatment costs of £350 or more through finance arranged with Chrysalis Finance. No deposit is required, although you may choose to pay one and borrow less. Finance is subject to status, eligibility and the applicable terms.

Do you charge for a first appointment?
A new-patient examination is £99.99. For existing patients, a consultation and advice appointment is £59.99 and includes routine small X-rays where clinically required. Larger imaging, such as OPG or CBCT scans, is charged separately where recommended.
How do NHS charges work?
NHS dentistry in England is charged in three bands set by the government, not by the practice. Band 1 is £27.90, Band 2 is £76.60 and Band 3 is £332.10. You pay one charge for a whole course of treatment, and the higher band already includes anything covered by the bands below it.
Are you taking new NHS patients?
Our current official NHS listing states that we are not accepting new patients for routine NHS care. Availability can change, so please check our NHS information page or contact reception for the latest position. Private appointments are available.
Is NHS dental treatment free for children?
NHS dental treatment is free for anyone under 18, and for under 19s in qualifying full-time education. It is also free if you are pregnant or have had a baby in the previous 12 months, and for people receiving certain benefits. See our NHS charges page for the detail.
Can I spread the cost?
Yes, in two different ways. Routine care can be spread across monthly payments with a membership plan from £21.99 a month. A larger course of treatment can be spread using 0% finance, subject to status. Which suits you depends on whether you are budgeting for regular appointments or paying for one big piece of work.
Could the price change once treatment starts?
Sometimes a treatment plan needs to change after further investigation or because your clinical circumstances have changed. If that happens, we will explain the reason and provide an updated estimate before the revised treatment proceeds.
