NHS Dental Charges in Crewe (From 1 April 2026)

At Allen House Dental Practice Crewe, we provide clear and transparent pricing for all NHS treatments. NHS dental charges are set nationally and depend on the type of treatment required to maintain your oral health.

You will only ever be charged one fee per course of treatment, even if multiple visits are needed to complete it.

NHS Dental Charges Explained

If you are not exempt from NHS dental charges, you will pay one of the following bands:

Band 1: £27.90

This covers:

  • Full dental examination
  • Diagnosis (including X-rays)
  • Advice on preventing dental problems
  • Scale and polish (if clinically needed)
  • Application of fluoride varnish
  • Urgent dental care (if required)

Even if your urgent treatment requires multiple visits, you will only pay one Band 1 charge.

Band 2: £76.60

This includes everything in Band 1, plus:

  • Fillings
  • Root canal treatment
  • Tooth extractions

This band covers any necessary additional treatment beyond basic care.

Band 3: £332.10

This includes everything in Bands 1 and 2, plus:

  • Crowns
  • Dentures
  • Bridges

This is for more complex restorative dental work.

Important Information About NHS Charges

  • Charges apply per course of treatment, not per appointment
  • You will always be informed of costs before treatment begins
  • Only clinically necessary treatments are covered under NHS pricing

Help with NHS Dental Costs

You may be eligible for full or partial exemption from NHS dental charges.

This can include patients who:

  • Are under 18 (or under 19 in full-time education)
  • Are pregnant or have had a baby in the last 12 months
  • Receive certain government benefits
