Common questions
Questions about dental costs
The things people ring up and ask before booking. If yours is not here, call and ask.
Do you charge for a first appointment?
Yes. If you are new to us, the appointment to book is the new patient appointment at £100. A routine examination for a patient already registered with us is £65. Small X-rays are £10 each and a large X-ray is £60, if you need one.
Which membership plan suits me?
If you come for check-ups, Plan A at £16.85 a month covers two examinations a year. If you see the hygienist, Plan C at £14.75 covers two hygiene appointments a year. Plan B at £25.15 covers both. Plans A and B also include 10% off selected private treatments (ask us which ones), and you can compare them in full on our membership page.
Do I pay a deposit?
Yes. When you book a private appointment, you pay half the fee as a deposit, so £50 on a £100 appointment. Laboratory-made work, such as a crown or denture, is paid for in full at the preparation or impression appointment, before fitting.
Could the price change once treatment starts?
Only with your agreement. If treatment shows something that was not visible at the assessment, we stop, explain what has changed and agree the revised plan and cost with you before going any further.
