OUR IPSWICH STORY
A Local Dental Practice with a Long History
The practice was established in 1965 and was formerly known as Paul Rolfe and Associates. It now continues as Allen House Dental Ipswich, caring for patients from Ipswich and the surrounding Suffolk communities.
Although the practice name has changed, its local purpose remains: to help patients look after their oral health in a professional and welcoming environment. We have continued to develop the care available at Berners Street while retaining the personal approach that matters to patients and families.
You can find us at 51 Berners Street, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 3LN.
MEET THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOUR CARE
A Team Working Together for Your Oral Health

Good dental care depends on more than one appointment or one clinician. Our dentists, dental therapists, dental nurses, reception colleagues and practice-management team work together to make your care organised, considerate and easier to understand.
From the person who welcomes you to the clinician assessing your oral health, every member of the team has a role in helping you feel informed and supported.

WHAT MATTERS TO US
Dental Care Centred Around You
We Start by Listening
Your concerns, previous experiences and priorities help shape the conversation. We take time to understand what has brought you to the practice before discussing care.
Clear Explanations
We explain our findings and any suitable options in straightforward language. You will have an opportunity to ask questions and understand the likely costs before deciding whether to proceed.
Prevention and Careful Planning
Regular examinations, professional hygiene care and practical advice can help protect your teeth and gums. When treatment is needed, recommendations are based on an individual clinical assessment.
Support Without Judgement
Dental anxiety is common, and some patients return after a long break. Tell us how you feel and we will help make the visit more manageable, with clear explanations and opportunities to pause.
CARE FOR DIFFERENT DENTAL NEEDS
Dental Care at Our Ipswich Practice
Our services include dental check-ups, children’s dentistry, emergency appointments, dental hygiene, fillings, crowns, root canal treatment, dentures, dental implants and dentist-supervised teeth whitening.
Every patient is different. Your clinician will assess your oral health and explain which options may be appropriate for your needs; a treatment is not recommended solely because it appears on our website.

NHS AND PRIVATE DENTISTRY
Choosing the Right Route for Your Care
Allen House Dental Ipswich provides NHS and private dental care. NHS appointment availability depends on current practice capacity and can change, so please check the latest information before asking to register.
Private patients can contact our team to discuss the type of appointment they may need. We also provide a private fee guide and dental membership information so that patients can review the available ways to access and budget for care.
